About the role
The Head of Partnerships is a senior commercial leadership role that is critical to Wyden's ability to grow, compete, and operate within the institutional digital asset ecosystem. Wyden maintains a rich and constantly expanding network of connector partners — core banking providers, liquidity providers, market data vendors, custodians, system integrators, and consulting firms — and this role exists to ensure Wyden is firmly embedded in that ecosystem, extracting maximum strategic and commercial value from every relationship.
This is a rare and genuinely unique role. It combines the strategic depth of an ecosystem builder with the commercial energy of a business developer; the relationship depth of a seasoned networker with the commercial acumen of a deal-maker; and the strategic thinking of an ecosystem builder with the hands-on execution of an operator. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable negotiating a complex OEM agreement and facilitating a joint go-to-market campaign with a consulting partner.
The Head of Partnerships will own three interconnected strategic pillars: Revenue Growth through partner channels; Ecosystem Development through the Wyden Network; and Partner Enablement through the Wyden Academy. This role reports directly into the CRO and works in close cross-functional partnership with Sales, Product, Pre-Sales, Engineering, and Marketing.
Your responsibilities will span three strategic pillars:
Revenue Growth- Develop and expand strategic alliances and indirect distribution channels for Wyden's solutions, including reseller and OEM partnership structures.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage referral agreements that contribute high-quality, well-qualified opportunities to the commercial pipeline.
- Structure and negotiate revenue sharing agreements with liquidity providers based on trading volumes, ensuring commercially sound and sustainable terms.
- Drive partner-led revenue generation initiatives and support joint go-to-market strategies, including the development and commercialization of new product modules and recurring revenue opportunities — such as the Kaiko Market Data Module.
- Work closely with the CRO and wider commercial team to ensure partnership-influenced ARR contributes meaningfully and measurably to Wyden's annual growth targets.
Wyden Network — Ecosystem of Partners- Own and strengthen relationships with existing ecosystem partners, including core banking providers, liquidity providers, market data vendors, custodians, consulting firms, and system integrators.
- Conduct regular strategic reviews and collaboration sessions with partners to exchange market intelligence, align on joint opportunities, and expand combined offerings.
- Evaluate and develop new partnership opportunities, consistently positioning Wyden as the core digital asset infrastructure provider of choice for financial institutions.
- Coordinate technical integrations between Wyden's internal product and engineering teams and external partner teams, ensuring efficient onboarding and successful delivery.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing to maximise the commercial and reputational value of key partnerships through joint press releases, events, webinars, and co-branding initiatives.
- Maintain close alignment with the Product team on the connector roadmap, integration prioritisation, and ongoing ecosystem-driven product development.
Wyden Academy- Launch and build out Wyden Academy as the product certification and enablement programme for consulting firms, system integrators, resellers, and OEM partners.
- Enable partners to develop repeatable Wyden implementation capabilities, empowering them to confidently position, sell, and advocate for Wyden solutions independently.
- Identify and onboard strategic consulting and SI partners across key target markets, and work with them to jointly develop commercial pipeline opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Pre-Sales, and Engineering teams to develop, refine, and continuously expand training content and certification materials.
- Define and manage the commercial framework for Wyden Academy with the strategic objective of establishing it as a scalable, revenue-generating offering in its own right.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or channel management, ideally within fintech, digital assets, capital markets technology, or institutional financial services.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of the institutional digital asset ecosystem — including familiarity with core banking providers, custodians, liquidity providers, market data vendors, and system integrators.
- A demonstrable track record of building and commercializing partner channels, including the origination and execution of reseller, OEM, and referral agreement structures.
- Proven experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial and revenue-sharing agreements with senior counterparts at financial institutions and technology companies.
- Strong understanding of SaaS revenue models, ARR mechanics, and the attribution of partnership-influenced pipeline — with the ability to measure and communicate commercial outcomes clearly.
- A natural networker and relationship builder with genuine executive presence and a broad personal network across the digital asset and/or wider financial services sector.
- Experience launching or operating partner enablement or certification programs is a strong advantage (Wyden Academy will require building this from scratch).
- High cross-functional intelligence — able to lead collaborative workstreams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial teams without formal authority.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate with autonomy in a high-growth, fast-paced scale-up environment, while maintaining discipline and commercial rigour.
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are a meaningful advantage given Wyden's client base.
