At TinyBytes, Game Programmers are gameplay masters. Beyond building tech, you will wear your designer hat and make a ton of calls on what goes into, and what doesn’t go into, games. With constant development of both live games and prototypes, game programmers have a ton of responsibilities here, and we’re looking for the best of the best… the type of programmers we can build entire game teams around.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Implementation of gameplay (UI, Cameras, Controls, Physics, Animations, etc) and social features (Leaderboards, Clans, Chat, Events, Tournaments, etc).
  • Development and implementation of both client and backend features.
  • Ensure the game is optimized through strong profiling, debugging, and testing practices.
  • Update, improve and optimize games based on user metrics.
  • Contribute to video game design decisions.

  • Passion for video games.
  • Expert knowledge of Unity and C# is a must.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript for backend development.
  • Strong experience working with UI systems.
  • Experience using RESTful workflow.
  • 3+ years of professional game programming experience on mobile games.
  • At least 1 shipped mobile game on Google Play and/or the App Store.
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure and solve problems in production environments.
  • Commitment to tasks, autonomy, and a high level of initiative and energy.
  • An open and respectful attitude towards others and their work.
  • Experience in inventing, developing, and refining new game feature designs.
  • Ability to work well as a creative leader and vision holder for a product.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work as part of a leadership team.
  • Fluency in English.

IDEAL ASPECTS | BONUS POINTS

  • Experience using PlayFab or similar backend suites.
  • Experience with Game Services (Google Play and iOS).
  • Experience writing native code for Android and/or iOS.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc).
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as: NoSQL, SQL, Java, NodeJS.
  • Database design and implementation skills.
  • AI, Networking and/or Shader (HLSL) skills.
