Goal of your position
As the Corporate Counsel at Circle8, you are not just the only Corporate Counsel. You wear several hats. You are a strategist, an advisor, and the trusted confidant who guides the organization around legal pitfalls. From drafting framework agreements and supplier agreements to contract negotiations with our clients and advising the Executive Team on new market initiatives: your expertise is indispensable. You switch quickly and effortlessly between detailed contract work and advising on strategic decision-making, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that Circle8 always stays on the right legal path. What will you do as an In-house Counsel?
As an In-house Counsel at Circle8, you are the versatile legal go-to linchpin within our company. As the sole in-house counsel, you are responsible for broad legal advice, focusing on sectoral regulations, procurement law, employment law, corporate law, privacy law, and contract law. You handle pressure well, are flexible, assertive, and able to prioritize effectively. Your responsibilities include drafting various legal documents and agreements, such as supplier contracts and framework agreements. You know how to convincingly convey the legal perspective at various levels within the organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drafting and reviewing (commercial) contracts and other legal documents;
- Conducting negotiations with clients in a pleasant and professional tone;
- Advising on legal risk factors of business decisions;
- Providing the organization with legal advice, including issues in the fields of employment law, procurement law, contract law, corporate law, and sectoral compliance;
- Keeping track of changing laws and regulations and translating the consequences thereof for the business;
- Preparing proceedings for external legal assistance;
- Identify risks and advise on control measures.
What are you bringing?
- A completed university degree in law with a specialization in employment law or corporate law;
- At least 5 to 8 years of work experience at a renowned law firm or in the business sector within a commercial organization;
- Experience with contract negotiations and with drafting and reviewing contracts;
- Experience with a fast-paced business, where quick and effective advice within deadlines is always important;
- Strong communication skills, a creative thinker, solution-oriented, eager to learn, and excellent command of the Dutch and English languages;
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Dutch Civil Code, the DBA Act, hirer's and chain liability, the Labour Allocation by Intermediaries Act (Waadi), the General Data Protection Regulation, employment law, corporate law, contract law, and public procurement law.

What do we offer?
- A suitable salary between €4,000 and €6,500 for full-time employment, commensurate with your level.
- You work between 32 and 40 hours at our office; working from home is negotiable.
- 8.33% holiday allowance, because you have other things to do besides your work.
